Frequently Asked Questions
We've been building websites since 2009, and in that time, we've been asked a lot of really good questions. Below are a few that come up more often than not when business owners start their first website.
Yes. Every website we build is designed to be flexible and look great on a variety of devices, including mobile phones and tablets.
This is a common one! As you can imagine, building a website is just like purchasing a car or a home. The cost can vary based on features and complexity. Before any work is completed, we'll remove all the guess work by providing you with a proposal that details the required investment for each piece of your project. Generally speaking, our clients have budgets starting around $3,000.
It comes as a surprise to many of our clients that there is no magic button we can press to get them to the top of a Google search results page. The fact of the matter is that Google (and other search engines) is constantly changing their search algorithms to prevent businesses from sneaking their way to the top. After all, it's their job to give people searching the web what they're looking for, not what we want them to find.
There are, however, several ways to gain traffic from search engines like Google. We'll help you select the strategies that will work best for your business, but it's going to take some time and diligence on your part.
If someone tells you they can get you to the top in a short amount of time, that should throw up some red flags.
In fact, we wrote a blog post on why your site isn't number one on Google (and why it doesn't matter).
Yes, but that's something we can help you acquire.
If you'd prefer not to wait to chat with us, we'd recommend NameCheap for registering your domain name.
Hosting is definitely something that can wait until you're closer to launching your site, but we know some of you just can't help yourselves. So our recommendation for hosting is WP Engine.
But seriously, don't purchase your hosting yet. We've got some great Care Plans that include premium hosting.
Yes, we do! Every person/website that accepts payments online (regardless of the size of the business and number of sales) is required by law to be PCI compliant. We know what it takes to meet those requirements.
A content management system allows you (the website owner) to login to your website and easily make changes to your content. It will give you the ability to add images, text, blog posts etc - as quickly and easily as using Facebook or Word. In fact, our sites can even include a drag-and-drop feature for modifying the layout of individual pages.
We do! At the end of each project, we make sure you're fully trained on how to operate and maintain your new website.
